Prajwal Vani Welfare Society, established in 2009 under the leadership of Dr. KVL Suchitra Balakrishna, is committed to creating meaningful opportunities for individuals from disadvantaged communities through skill development, livelihood generation, employment, and entrepreneurship. As an empanelled Training Partner of Skill Development Institute (SDI), the Society provides practical, employment-oriented vocational training to prisoners, persons with disabilities, special children, and women. Its initiatives, including Jute Products Stitching Operator training at Central Prison, are designed around the philosophy of “Learning and Earning,” enabling beneficiaries to acquire sustainable skills, achieve financial independence, and lead dignified and self-reliant lives. Rosy Naidu, an alumna of the Bridal Fashion & Portfolio Makeup Artist batch from a rural background in Odisha, aspired to become a Beauty & Wellness Therapist. She trained at SDI Visakhapatnam, learned Telugu and English, and is now working as a Therapist at Kolors, earning ₹16,000 per month. Her dedication has earned her positive feedback from clients, and she gratefully credits SDI for helping her achieve her career goal.
Menda Anandarao from Srikakulam is an alumnus of the Industrial Electrical batch. He is currently working at Toshiba as an Electrical Maintenance & Machine Operator, where he is effectively performing his responsibilities and discharging his role efficiently.
Lanka Aswini, from Vizianagaram District, transformed her career after joining the Office Assistant course under the MEPSC Sector at Skill Development Institute (SDI), Visakhapatnam. With limited awareness of free skill training and placement opportunities, she joined SDI to build her computer and workplace skills. After successfully completing the course, she secured a position as a Junior Operator at Tata Electronics, Hosur (Chennai), joining on 10 October 2025 with a starting gross salary of ₹19,500 per month, which increased to ₹25,000 from January 2026. Her success has made her parents proud, and she credits SDI for helping her build a better career and future.
Nadikatla Prasad, from Kakinada, joined Skill Development Institute (SDI), Visakhapatnam, to pursue the Fire Safety Technician course with the goal of building a stable career in the safety sector. After successfully completing his training, he secured a contract-based position at the Naval Dockyard, Visakhapatnam. Through his dedication, discipline, and strong performance at work, Prasad earned recognition within just three months and was promoted to a new opportunity at the Naval Dockyard, Mumbai. His journey from skill training to career growth is a testament to how determination, practical skills, and the right training opportunity can open doors to greater professional success.
